ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is reportedly considering a no-confidence motion against either the Prime Minister or the Chairman of the Senate, to be initiated once the government introduces its proposed constitutional amendments in parliament.
Sources close to the matter reveal that the PTI leadership has already consulted party founder Imran Khan, who has approved the move. The plan involves first tabling a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister, followed by a motion against the Chairman of the Senate after a short interval. According to parliamentary procedure, once a no-confidence motion is tabled, no other legislative business can be conducted until the vote on the motion takes place.
