Qatar, Turkey, and Bangladesh envoys praise Arif Balgamwala's Ticket Collection

KARACHI, AUG 2 /DNA/ – The research collection of extremely rare tickets by renowned businessman and philatelist Arif Balgamwala, who holds the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz in Philately, has garnered significant acclaim at the ongoing “My Karachi” exhibition at the Expo Center. The event is being held under the auspices of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI).

The exhibition, located in Hall No. 5 of the Expo Center, has attracted interest from the Consuls General of several countries. Notably, the Consuls General of Qatar, Turkey, and Bangladesh visited the stall, where they expressed admiration for the historical and rare tickets featured in Balgamwala’s collection.

Arif Balgamwala explained to the visiting Consuls General that this is the first time such rare tickets have been showcased in Pakistan. His collection includes tickets that highlight the historical significance of medals awarded to the Pakistan Army during the 1965 war. Additionally, the collection raises awareness about various diseases, including polio and different types of cancer, through the medium of tickets.

The exhibition also features Pakistani currency notes with printing errors. These items, along with the rest of Balgamwala’s research collection, offer valuable information and insights to the participants.
