SAYS CHIEF ELECTION COMMISSIONER AND CHIEF JUSTICE OF PAKISTAN ARE ALSO INVOLVED

RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Liaquat Ali Chatta on Saturday resigned from his post in protest against electoral irregularities.

Chatta made the announcement in a press conference at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium today.

He admitted that “rigging” took place in Rawalpindi Division and took responsibility for it.

“We convert the losers into winners with 50,000 votes margin. He further claimed that reportedly the Chief Election Commissioner and the Chief Justice of Pakistan are also involved in this rigging.

The commissioner statement has put in doubt the entire electoral drill. He said that at one point he tried to commit suicide but then he decided to lay the entire matter before the people of Pakistan.

He said 13 national assembly seats from Rawalpindi were tempered. He claimed still the returning officers are busy in putting fake stamps on the ballot papers.

He further said that there is no need of re election as everything is quite evident in the form 45. He said he should hanged publicly along all those who are involved in this rigging.

He said he is surrendering before police over the crime he has committed.

It may be mentioned here that a commissioner is the highest administrative office of a division who controls a number of deputy commissioner and the assistant commissioners.

The election commission however has refuted the allegations and claimed that it never issued any directions to the said commissioner for change in election results.
