RAWALPINDI, NOV 11: /DNA/ – The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) successfully organized the 36th International Achievement Awards (IAA) in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, bringing together business leaders, diplomats, and government officials to promote regional trade, investment, and industrial cooperation between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

Laziz Kudratov, Head of the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Ambassador Ahmad Farooq of Pakistan and Alisher Shaykhov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, were among the distinguished attendees.

Speaking at the event, Minister Kudratov emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral economic relations, expanding joint ventures, and promoting direct cooperation between the two nations. He noted that Uzbekistan offers an open, modern, and investor-friendly environment, and that projects under regional interconnectivity frameworks are being actively encouraged. Discussions during the event highlighted the vast potential for enhancing trade volume, developing joint initiatives, and fostering collaboration in strategic sectors such as industry, technology, and infrastructure.

In his address, RCCI President Usman Shaukat reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to building global linkages and facilitating regional economic growth. “This global outreach underscores our dedication to connecting Pakistan’s business community with international markets. Here in Tashkent, we aim to further strengthen Pakistan–Uzbekistan business ties, encourage bilateral trade, and explore new avenues of cooperation for mutual prosperity,” he said.

The event also celebrated excellence through the International Achievement Awards, recognizing companies and entrepreneurs for their outstanding contributions across key sectors including pharmaceuticals, construction, IT, agriculture, textiles, tourism, and trade. Categories such as Businessman of the Year, Company of the Year, Exporter of the Year, Innovation and Technology Award, and the Lifetime Achievement Award honored individuals and organizations demonstrating exceptional success and innovation.

Earlier, during B2B meetings, participants discussed collaborative projects in various industries, setting the stage for stronger economic cooperation between the two countries.

The 36th IAA reaffirmed the shared vision of Pakistan and Uzbekistan to deepen business linkages, foster mutual growth, and advance regional prosperity.
