KOHAT, JUN 18 (APP/DNA):A high-level delegation led by Regional Sports Officer (RSO) Kohat Division, Anwar Kamal Barki on Wednesday visited remote areas of Darra Adam Khel to promote sports.
The delegation included District Football Association (DFA) Kohat President, Zia Alam Afridi, General Secretary, Syed Rehan Shah,Treasurer, Farhatullah Afridi and Deputy Director Finance Kohat, Farmanullah Khan Marwat.
The delegation inspected sports fields in the areas like Akhorwal, Centeral Darra Adam Khel and Sanai Khel,
met local players, and provided them with sports equipment to attract the youth towards positive activities.
The delegation also met with renowned social figure and Head 90-Group, Noor Kamal Afridi in his room and gifted him FIFA-approved footballs, so that these footballs could be distributed to local football clubs through him.
Speaking on the occasion, the RSO said that providing sports facilities to the youth was the need of the hour so that they could avoid negative trends and spend their energy in positive activities.
He also appreciated the ongoing initiatives of the government for the promoting sports.
During the visit, the delegation received a warm welcome from the local youth and
elders, and full cooperation was assured to expand sports activities.
