SAARC Secretary General visits Pakistan, meets PM Shehbaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD, MAY 21 /DNA/ – Muhammad Golam Sarwar, Secretary General of SAARC, visited Pakistan for the first time.

He paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today.

The Prime Minister congratulated Sarwar on becoming the 15th Secretary General of SAARC.

He hoped Sarwar would help revitalize the organization.

The Prime Minister sent warm wishes to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

He expressed Pakistan’s desire to strengthen ties with Bangladesh.

The Prime Minister highlighted SAARC’s potential for regional development, trade, and cooperation.

He wished for SAARC to promote progress and prosperity in the region.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the SAARC Charter.

He stated Pakistan would continue to support and strengthen the SAARC process.

The Secretary General thanked the Prime Minister for meeting him.

He shared his goals for making SAARC an effective platform for cooperation.

He also thanked the Prime Minister for the warm hospitality given to his delegation.
