SDPI and Energy Update Sign MOU to Boost SDC 2025 Awareness

ISLAMABAD, Oct 29 (DNA): The Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Pakistan’s premier think tank on sustainable development, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Energy Update, the country’s leading energy magazine, to support, promote, and raise awareness for the upcoming 28th Sustainable Development Conference (SDC 2025).

The MOU, signed last month, aims to amplify outreach on SDC 2025’s theme, “Sustainable Development in the Emerging World: Dis|Order,” through Energy Update’s platforms, including its website (www.energyupdate.com.pk), social media, and print editions. This partnership will foster greater stakeholder engagement on critical issues like climate action, green energy transitions, and equitable growth, drawing over 1,000 participants to the event from November 4–7 at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU).

On behalf of SDPI, Dr. Zainab Naeem, Research Fellow, and Ms. Halima Khan, Head of Sustainability & Corporate Affairs, affixed their signatures. Witnesses included Managing Editor of Energy Update, Mohammad Naeem Qureshi; Chief Marketing Officer, Engr. Nadeem Ashraf; and Saira Adnaan.

Dr. Zainab Naeem stated, “This collaboration with Energy Update will enhance knowledge-sharing and drive meaningful dialogues on sustainability challenges facing Pakistan and the Global South.” Mohammad Naeem Qureshi added, “As a strategic partner, Energy Update is committed to spotlighting SDC 2025’s innovations in energy and environmental policy.”

The MOU builds on prior joint efforts, such as Energy Update’s coverage of SDPI initiatives like Solar Pakistan events, and aligns with SDPI’s mission to influence national policies on climate resilience and SDGs. For more on SDC 2025, visit sdpi.org/sdconference.
