ISLAMABAD: Secretary Workers Welfare Fund, Zulfiqar Ahmad, attended the annual Sports Gala of PBF International School & College as the Chief Guest and addressed the ceremony. In his speech, he stated that Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain consider the children of industrial workers as their own. That is why the Government of Pakistan is paying special attention to their education, training, and overall welfare.
Secretary Zulfiqar Ahmad emphasized that along with quality education, moral training, discipline, tolerance, and character building are the most important needs of the time, as these children will become responsible citizens and valuable assets for the country in the future. He reaffirmed that the Workers Welfare Fund will continue to provide all possible facilities to the children of industrial workers for obtaining higher education so that they can build their future with confidence.
He further clarified that the funds spent on the education of industrial workers’ children are not charity, but rather the rightful earnings and trust of the workers, which are being utilized with complete honesty, transparency, and a strong sense of responsibility for the education and training of their children.
On this occasion, Principal PBF International School & College, Ms. Sarah Mohsin, delivered the welcome address, warmly welcoming Secretary Workers Welfare Fund Zulfiqar Ahmad and thanking the Workers Welfare Fund for its continued support and patronage. She stated that with the assistance of the Workers Welfare Fund, the institution is providing not only quality education but also a positive and nurturing learning environment.
Industrial workers present at the ceremony also expressed their gratitude to the Secretary Workers Welfare Fund and appreciated the welfare initiatives and labor-friendly policies of the Government of Pakistan.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Secretary Zulfiqar Ahmad distributed prizes among the students who showed outstanding performance in various sports and competitive activities, while Principal Sarah Mohsin presented him with a commemorative shield on behalf of the institution.
