ISLAMABAD, JUN 18 (APP/DNA):The Senate on Wednesday adopted a motion granting an additional sixty days for the submission of committee reports and continued the debate on the Finance Bill, 2025.
The motion was moved by Senator Irfan ul Haque Siddique, on behalf of Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri, seeking a 60-day extension to present the Functional Committee on Human Rights’ report on the National Commission on the Rights of Child (Amendment) Bill, 2023, originally introduced by Senator Dr. Zarqa Suharwardy Taimur on February 20, 2023.
Senator Irfan ul Haque Siddique, on behalf of Senator Samina Mumtaz Zehri, also moved another motion requesting a sixty-day extension for the committee’s report on the ICT Rights of Persons with Disability (Amendment) Bill, 2024, which was introduced by Senator Dr. Zarqa Suharwardy Taimur on June 10, 2024.
The session was chaired by Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, and resumed discussion on the budget during Wednesday’s session.
