Consultations begin
After the National Assembly set its opposition leadership, attention has now turned to the Senate. The Secretary of the Senate along with other relevant authorities are reportedly engaged in detailed consultations to ensure the appointment adheres to legal requirements.
Sources suggest that all procedural and legal considerations are being carefully examined before a formal notification is issued.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has nominated Allama Raja Nasir Abbas as the opposition leader in the Senate. If confirmed, he will take on the role of coordinating opposition activities and holding the government accountable in the upper house.
