ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Core Committee vehemently condemned the adjournment of hearing of the cases against the PTI Founding Chairman Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi to deprive them of justice, saying that the traces of the intervention of the secret forces detailing by the judges of the Islamabad High Court in their letter were also evident in these cases.
PTI Core Committee meeting discussed the party organizational issues, the country’s overall political situation, political strategy and future plan of actions threadbare.
They were of the view that reprehensible attempts were afoot to keep Imran Khan and his wife in jail through shameful interference in court proceedings by intimidating judges or patting the tout petitioners on their back.
The forum also condemned the petitioner and his lawyer for attempting to pressurise the judge and shameful verbal attack on PTI Founding Chairman’s lawyer senior Advocate Salman Akram Raja.
During the meeting, they discussed options of political cooperation with all political parties except Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in the light of approval of PTI Founding Chairman.
In the meeting, the participants held detailed discussion on the preparations of the nationwide peaceful protest movement in the light of the instructions of Imran Khan.
The forum termed the conduct and views of the Chief Justice of Pakistan during the SC bench’s hearing on the letter of the IHC judges, as very disappointing and anti-judiciary.
PTI Core Committee said that the CJP’s reluctance to hear the serious and most sensitive issue of Pakistan’s constitutional and democratic history on a daily basis and to form a full court on the matter regrettable.
They lauded the judges, who brought the issue of meddling into the judiciary before the nation through their letter and those who voiced support for them.
PTI Core Committee demanded the CJP to make public the responses submitted by all high courts on the matter of judges’ letter instead of silently patronizing the interventionists.
The forum vehemently denounced the Punjab government for the use of force against peaceful protesting farmers, their economic murder and loss of wheat crop.
The participants agreed to defer the issue of rejoining PTI by those who parted ways with PTI after May 9 until the release of PTI Founding Chairman, as they decided to present their requests before Imran Khan to decide their fate.
