Islamabad, July 29, 2025 : Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday welcomed a high-level delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic, led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Edil Baisalov, in Islamabad.
The delegation is visiting Pakistan to participate in the 5th Session of the Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan Joint Intergovernmental Commission (IGC), convened to bolster bilateral cooperation in diverse fields.
Welcoming the delegation, Prime Minister Sharif expressed satisfaction over the successful holding of the IGC session. He commended the signing of the Protocol and multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), terming them vital steps toward expanding collaboration in trade, energy, connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges.
Reiterating Pakistan’s strong commitment to regional cooperation, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of effective and timely implementation of the decisions made during the session. He underscored that translating these agreements into practical outcomes would be key to maximizing mutual benefits.
The Kyrgyz delegation appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in strengthening bilateral ties and expressed confidence that the outcomes of the IGC would pave the way for deeper, more results-oriented cooperation.
