Sheikh Rashid’s nephew sent on two-day physical remand

ATTOCK: A district and sessions court in Attock on Monday granted the
police a two-day physical remand of MNA Sheikh Rashid Shafiq, nephew
of former federal minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, in a case relating to
hooliganism and chanting slogans against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif
and his delegation at Masjid-e-Nabwi in Saudi Arabia..

According to details, Sheikh Rashid’s nephew and Member National
Assembly Sheikh Rashid was produced in the district court during which
the police requested for physical remand of Rashid Shafiq on which the
Judicial Magistrate granted 2 days physical remand of Sheikh Rashid
Shafiq.

PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari, Leader of Opposition in Sindh  Assembly
Haleem Adil Sheikh and other leaders were also present to express
solidarity with Sheikh Rashid. I also chanted slogans.

Bukhari claimed that religion was being used for political vendettas.
The PTI leader accused Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for “creating
conspiracies”.

Zulfi Bukhari said that religion is being used for political purposes
and all these conspiracies are being hatched by Rana Sanaullah. It
should be noted that Rashid Shafiq was arrested from Islamabad Airport
on his way back from performing Umrah in the context of Masjid Nabavi
incident.
