CAIRO, Feb 27: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s firm position in supporting Sudan’s stability and territorial integrity, pointing out to Egypt’s efforts at both the regional and international levels aimed at ending the war and alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Sudanese people.
This came during President Sisi’s meeting, of Kamil Idris, Prime Minister of the Republic of Sudan, in the presence of Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, and the delegations of both countries.
The official spokesman for the presidency stated that President Sisi welcomed the Sudanese Prime Minister and emphasized the deep strategic and brotherly relations between Egypt and Sudan.
The President also praised the convening of the High Coordinating Committee on Water Issues, chaired by the prime ministers of both countries, considering it an important framework for coordinating positions and ensuring the interests and rights of the two brotherly peoples.
For his part, the Sudanese Prime Minister expressed his deep gratitude for the warm reception and the support Egypt provides to his country in various fields.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the latest regional developments, with an emphasis on the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two countries on all issues of mutual interest.
