ISLAMABAD, July 31 – The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Pakistan has strongly refuted misinformation circulating on personal social media platforms regarding visa issuance and border visit procedures.
In an official press release, the Embassy clarified that the statements falsely attributed to the Honourable Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan are baseless and incorrect. The Embassy emphasized that no such comments have been issued by the Ambassador or any authorized Iranian official.
“The content being spread on certain social media pages is denied and considered inaccurate,” the Embassy stated, stressing that the only valid and official stance on this matter remains the joint announcement issued on July 26, 2025. That announcement followed a tripartite coordination meeting in Tehran involving the governments of Iran, Pakistan, and Iraq.
The Embassy reiterated that the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan is the sole competent authority authorized to issue official statements on the matter. Any relevant announcements are released exclusively through the Embassy’s official communication channels and its Press Section in Islamabad.
This clarification comes amid a wave of online posts that have created confusion about Iranian visa protocols and cross-border movements. The Embassy urged the public and media outlets to rely only on verified sources and refrain from spreading unconfirmed information.
“The Embassy advises everyone to disregard unofficial statements and follow only the announcements published via its authorized platforms,” the statement concluded.
