RAWALPINDI, AUG 28 /DNA/ – The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Saqib Rafiq has said that there are serious reservations about the Tajir Dost Scheme, there are many loopholes and anomalies in the scheme which need to be rectified. In a statement, he added that the scheme has been announced without consulting the relevant stakeholders.
Saqib Rafiq said that instead of bringing new taxpayers into the system, the scheme only involved existing taxpayers and added unnecessary additional burden.
Chamber President Saqib Rafiq said that the Chamber has always voiced about increasing the tax net, our demand is to withdraw the FBR notices and consult with the relevant stakeholders and make a policy keeping in mind the ground realities.
