KABUL, Jan 09 (DNA): An Afghan delegation headed by acting Foreign
Minister Amir khan Motaqi is visiting Iran and is supposed to discuss
problems of Afghan refugees in the country, economic and political
issues.
It is the first time that a high-level delegation of the Islamic Emirate
of Afghanistan is visiting Iran after they recaptured power on August 15
last year.
The Afghan delegation led by Amir Khan Motaqi comprised of acting
Ministers of economy, industry, and trade, head of Da Afghanistan Bank-
Afghanistan’s Central Bank- and several Deputy Ministers.
Spokesman of Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister Abdul Qahar Balkhi in a
Twitter post said that the Afghan delegation is visiting Iran on the
official invitation of the country and the delegation will touch upon
economic and trade issues along with borders between the two countries.
The visit is at a time when Iran has always asked for the establishment
of an inclusive government that is comprised of all ethnic groups living
in the country.
