ISLAMABAD, DEC 24 /DNA/: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has expressed the government’s commitment to further solidify the strong fraternal ties between Pakistan and China.
Addressing the 9th Pak-China Media Forum in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said Pakistan has great history and legacy that our elders have left behind regarding Pak-China relations.
The Minister said this legacy has now been transformed into China-Pakistan Economic Corridor which brought a great harmony between the two countries.
He said the friendship between Pakistan and China is touching to its new heights as both the countries are cooperating with each other in multi-domains including trade and investment, digital technology, media, culture and promoting people to people contacts.
The Minister emphasized the need to further strengthen media cooperation especially in the digital field so that we have more digital platforms to tell successful stories of Pak-China times tested friendship. He also called for more people to people exchanges so that people can get together and discuss the reality of Pakistan-China friendship.
Attaullah Tarar said only positivity can be associated with Pakistan and China relations and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He also stressed the need of discouraging fake news and disinformation campaigns on social media.
