Taylor Swift’s immensely successful Eras Tour is coming to an end soon, and the singer has revealed how she came up with the concept of the tour.
Taylor’s record-breaking historic tour will end on December 8 in Vancouver, Canada. After the successful release of her Eras Tour film, the Karma hitmaker has released a Black Friday Eras Tour book and an Anthology vinyl of her Tortured Poets Department album. In the book, the Grammy winner revealed details about the tour, including how it came to be.
If not for her brilliant idea of the Eras Tour, she would’ve simply toured for her recent album, Midnights (at the time).
“I’ll never forget the call when I explained the concept for the Eras Tour to my team,” Taylor wrote. “We’re going to call it the Eras Tour and each album will have its own chapter, its own world.”
The Lavender Haze hitmaker shared that she’d “fallen back in love” with her older albums while rerecording them to release the Taylor’s Version of each album.
While rerecording the albums, it occurred to the singer to go on to create a tour to “fully commit to each era, musically, stylistically and aesthetically.”
Taylor Swift also shared that she got “more disciplined and committed to [her] health, fitness and stamina” to be able to sing and perform for the 3.5 hour long shows.
