Thai embassy inaugurates embassy wall painted with Pakistani ruck art

The wall is 236 feet long and 10 feet high and painted by Pakistani artists from Peshawar. It took the artist to paint the entire wall in just two weeks

ISLAMABAD: Royal Thai Embassy in Pakistan launched a new wall of 70th anniversary of to mark the Pakistan-Thai relation which combines Pakistan and Thai cultures. Ambassador of Thailand Chakkrid Krachaiwong along with the embassy staff formally inaugurated the wall in the presence of members of Pakistani mass media.

The wall is 236 feet long and 10 feet high and painted by Pakistani artists from Peshawar. It took the artist to paint the entire wall in just two weeks.

Ambassador of Thailand while talking to media on the occasion told that the wall has been painted in connection with the 70 years of Thailand-Pakistan diplomatic relations. He said that more celebrations in this regard have been planned in other cities as well. A grand reception shall also be organized somewhere in September in this regard.

The ambassador further said, Thai nationals, especially the youth have been showing huge interest in visiting Pakistan. They love to explore natural beauty of the Northern Areas of Pakistan besides visiting the Buddhist places located in various parts of Pakistan. He said, over 200 Thai nationals are residing in Pakistan, mostly the students who are perusing their studies in various Pakistani universities.

While giving the trade figures the ambassador said that the trade between the two countries has picked up considerably thus taking the annual trade figure to 1.8 billion US dollars. During the pandemic, he said, these figures witnessed a decrease however it was encouraging to note that the trade activity is back on the track.

He said the Thai Airways had already resumed its operations from Pakistan facilitating people from both countries. The flow of tourists on both sides has increased manifold after resumption of the direct flights.
