Karachi Iftikhar Ali Malik, President of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and former Chairman of United Business Group (UBG), has said that business conditions around the world are improving and geared up now that the effects of Code 19 have been reduced by 90%.
The activities of the SAARC Chamber, a representative apex body of the SAARC business community, are also becoming even more active. The role of women entrepreneurs in the SAARC Chamber is of paramount importance. I with the leadership of UBG will continue to speak and convey the issues being faced by the women entrepreneurs of Pakistan to the government through S. M Muneer, Shehzad Ali Malik, Zubair Tufail and other leaders. He expressed these views during a meeting with former FPCCI Vice President Shabnam Zafar at Lahore.
He said that the business community across the country is united on the platform of UBG which national economic activities are being witnessed and supported by the members of trade bodies. I have resigned from the chairmanship due to ailment but now my brother Shehzad Ali Malik has taken-over the responsibilities of UBG after being elected as its Chairman. He is also a hard worker and determined to play a leading role on all fronts particularly for promotion of economic activities of all sectors from the platform of trade bodies across Pakistan.
Iftikhar Ali Malik said that despite the unfavorable conditions, the country’s businessmen, industrialists and especially women entrepreneurs have played a vital role in the national development. Appreciating the role of women leaders of the group and calling them strong pillars for the group. On this occasion, Shabnam Zafar paid rich tribute to the services of Iftikhar Ali Malik for the business community and congratulated Shehzad Ali Malik on his election as Chairman UBG.
