Attock, Feb 15: /DNA/ – Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Attock, Anil Saeed, has emphasised that trees are essential for the survival and safety of our environment. He expressed these views while inaugurating a tree plantation campaign at Government Pilot Secondary School, Attock. On this occasion, CEO Education Dr. Muhammad Ikhlaq, Principal of Government Pilot School Muhammad Akram Zia, and other officials were also present. ADCG planted a sapling along with the staff and students and offered prayers for its growth.

Addressing the gathering, he stated that, following the directives of the Punjab government, a large-scale tree plantation campaign is being launched across the province, including the Attock district. He highlighted that due to deforestation, climate change has severely impacted Pakistan, causing extreme drought over the past seven months due to a lack of rainfall, leading to various health and environmental issues. He stressed the need to consider tree plantation a national responsibility and plant trees on an urgent basis.
