Trump wants to see Canada as 51st US state

WASHINGTON, MAY 6: President Donald Trump has stated his desire for Canada to become the 51st state of the United States. Speaking to media alongside Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Trump expressed his commitment to strengthen ties with Canada at any cost. He reiterated his intention to expand trade relations and described the border between the United States and Canada as “artificial”.

Commenting on China, Trump said that the US would engage in discussions “at the right time”, adding that the United States wants to protect its automobile industry.

The president also pledged not to impose tariffs on any company that sets up manufacturing operations within the US.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Carney claimed that Trump had helped restore global security.
