Turkey, Russia, Iran call on int’l community to increase humanitarian aid for Syria

NUR-SULTAN: Turkey, Russia, and Iran have called on the international community and the United Nations to take action and increase the volume of humanitarian aid to Syria.

The 16th round of Astana talks on Syria were held in Kazakhstan’s capital Nur-Sultan.

The talks focused on a variety of issues including the humanitarian situation in the country, aid, the political process to end the conflict, work on drafting a new constitution and the fight against terrorism.

The participants of the talks emphasized the need for a political solution to end the Syrian conflict and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing this process.
