LAHORE, OCT 10 (DNA): The University of Education (UE), Lahore on Friday observed the ‘Pink Ribbon Youth Awareness Programme 2025’ with fervor at its main campus in Township, aiming to raise awareness about breast cancer and promote early detection among the youth.
According to a spokesperson, the event began with an awareness walk and poster exhibition, where students displayed creative visuals advocating breast cancer prevention.
Students of BS 5th semester presented impactful plays and dialogues emphasizing self-examination, timely treatment and emotional support for patients.
Medical Specialist, Pink Ribbon Pakistan Dr. Maria Ahmad, delivered a keynote address, offering valuable insights on preventive measures and the importance of early diagnosis.
Vice Chancellor(VC) UE Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry, who graced the event as chief guest, lauded the initiative and commended students for actively participating in a noble cause.
He urged the youth to become ambassadors of health awareness and social responsibility.
Additional activities included a poster and quiz competition, distribution of informational material, a short theatrical performance and a fund-raising campaign in collaboration with Pink Ribbon Pakistan.
The event was themed “Say Less, Care More”.
The program concluded with souvenir distribution by the VC, a vote of thanks by Dr.Zahra Noreen, UE’s focal person for the Pink Ribbon campaign, and a group photograph with participants.=DNA
