The managing company of Uzbekistan Airports has summarized the results of 2024, showcasing significant growth across all key indicators. Last year, Uzbekistan’s airports handled a record number of passengers and flights.

Thus, by the end of 2024, 113,622 flights were served by the international airports of Uzbekistan. Of these, 80,213 flights were made to international destinations and 33,409 to domestic destinations. The increase compared to 2023 year was 33%.

In 2024, passenger traffic reached 13,503,199 people, which is a 30% increase compared to 2023 (10,409,609 passengers). Of the total number of passengers, 2,480,359 traveled domestically, while 11,022,840 flew internationally.

Over the past year, 73,969 flights were carried out by resident airlines and 8,735,996 passengers were transported. During the year, foreign airlines made 39,653 flights and transported 4,767,203 passengers.

Freight traffic also showed substantial growth, reaching 87,461 tons of cargo and mail, which is 23% more than last year.

In 2024, Uzbekistan’s airports welcomed nine new passenger airlines: World2Fly and IberoJet (Spain), WizzAir (Hungary), Batic Air (Malaysia), LOT Polish Airlines (Poland), Qatar Airways (Qatar), Ajet (Turkey), TezJet (Kyrgyzstan), and FlyAdeal (UAE). This reflects Uzbekistan’s growing attractiveness as a tourist destination and the strengthening of its international aviation ties. The successful 2024 year demonstrates the steady growth and development of Uzbekistan’s aviation industry.
