ISLAMABAD: /DNA/ – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) expressed deep concern and regret over the tragic incident of vandalizing multiple churches in Jaranwala tehsil of Faisalabad, demanding that the Punjab government should investigate the events from all aspects so as to bring the perpetrators of the violent acts to justice.

In a strong reaction to the condemnable act, PTI Spokesperson strongly condemned the local administration, police and state machinery for their failure to maintain law and order. The PTI held the administration, state machinery and police responsible for the incident, as it was the basic duty of the state to protect the safety of life and property of citizens without discrimination of colour, race, sex and religion.

It was said that Islam was the religion of peace and harmony, the constitution was the guarantor of the rights of minorities and their religious freedom. PTI Spokesperson said that the minorities rendered valuable services from the creation as well as for the construction of Pakistan. He stated that deviation from the constitution on the part of the state machinery was clearly reflecting in the form of rampant lawlessness and disrespect among the citizens for the justice system.
