ISLAMABAD: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi delivered a video address at the global thematic event marking the 2026 International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations.
In his speech, he emphasized the importance of fostering mutual understanding and trust through dialogue, and building solidarity and consensus through exchanges, describing these efforts as the essential building blocks of a community with a shared future for humanity.
He proposed a four-pronged approach to advancing dialogue among civilizations: first, championing mutual respect to promote harmonious coexistence; second, putting the people first to cement the foundation of exchanges; third, balancing heritage and innovation to drive progress; and fourth, encouraging mutual learning and improving mechanisms for dialogue.
His address highlighted China’s vision of inclusive cooperation and cultural exchange as a pathway to global peace and development.
