West Ham Coach Rashid Abba meets Chairman Senate

ISLAMABAD, JAN 19 /DNA/ – Rashid Abba, Premier League coach of West Ham United, London, currently visiting Pakistan from the United Kingdom, called on Chairman Senate, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani. During the meeting, discussions were held on promoting the game of football and identifying emerging talent across various districts of Pakistan.

Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani emphasized the need for special initiatives to promote outdoor sports for Pakistan’s youth. He stated that Pakistan possesses significant football talent and that young people show keen interest in the sport; however, there is a pressing need to provide them with maximum opportunities. He further highlighted the need for focused efforts to promote football and other sports in South Punjab and said that collaborative initiatives under the mentorship of international coaches and experts could help advance sports and healthy activities. He also appreciated the efforts of Rashid Abba.

Rashid Abba, a globally renowned football coach, is currently on a visit to Pakistan. Representatives of Muslim Hands were also present during the meeting. The representatives briefed the Chairman Senate on the objectives of the visit of the internationally acclaimed coach and the steps being taken to promote football.

Chairman Senate lauded Muslim Hands’ commitment to engaging out-of-school children and street children in positive activities through football. On the occasion, the internationally renowned coach Rashid Abba presented a West Ham United shirt to the Chairman Senate.
