Workers Welfare Fund Actively Working for the Well-being of Industrial Workers; Digital Reforms in the Education System Enter Final Stage

ISLAMABAD, DEC 4 /DNA/: The Workers Welfare Fund (WWF), under the leadership of Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Mr. Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry, and Secretary Workers Welfare Fund Zulfiqar Ahmed, is working tirelessly for the welfare and well-being of industrial workers and the labor class.

To ensure an effective and transparent solution to the educational problems faced by the children of workers, an important meeting of the Higher Education Reforms Committee was held at the Workers Welfare Fund Secretariat, chaired by Mr. Farrukh Shehzad, Member of the Governing Body of the Workers Welfare Fund. The meeting held detailed consultations on aligning existing educational schemes and policies for the children of industrial workers with modern requirements.

While briefing the meeting, Secretary Workers Welfare Fund, Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed, informed that in line with the vision of Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain, the digitalization of educational schemes of the Workers Welfare Fund has entered its final stages. Once fully operational, the new system will ensure that the entire process of scrutiny, processing, approval, and monitoring of applications will be carried out swiftly and with complete transparency, directly benefiting thousands of children from labor families.

It was also decided in the meeting that all provinces would adopt similar modern and transparent measures on the model of the Workers Welfare Fund Islamabad, so that equal educational facilities could be provided to the children of workers across the country.

Meanwhile, a representative delegation of the Industrial Workers Alliance, Multinational Unions, and Packages Group held a special meeting with Secretary Workers Welfare Fund, Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed.

The delegation congratulated Mr. Sheikh Mohsin Ilyas on being elected as a Member of the Governing Body of the Workers Welfare Fund and termed his appointment as an important step towards genuine representation of the working class.

The delegation also thanked Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain and stated that the inclusion of a capable and experienced labor leader in the Governing Body would ensure that the voice of workers is effectively represented at the highest level. The representatives further acknowledged that under the vision of the Federal Minister and the dynamic leadership of Secretary Zulfiqar Ahmed, the Workers Welfare Fund continues to take commendable and satisfactory measures for the welfare of industrial workers.
