World leadership must pressure Israel for ceasefire in Gaza: Ashrafi

LAHORE, NOV 26: Leadership of different religions and religious sects from all over Pakistan have demanded of the world leadership to play their respective role to make an end to ongoing Israeli aggression and barbarism in Gaza.

Ulemas-Mashaykh and leadership of different religious schools of thought and religions while addressing press conference along with Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council and Dr. Paul Bhatti, Chairman All Pakistan Minorities Alliance appealed to United Nations Organisation and the leadership of OIC, US, UK and Europe to play their respective role to make an end to ongoing atrocities at the Palestinian people and Gaza from the Israeli aggression and asked for ceasefire from Israel at Gaza.

The leadership of religious sects and different religions also said that Palestine should be made an independent state with Al-Quds its capital.

Speaking with the press conference, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said that whatever going on in Gaza, is not being happened with the faithful of any religion but against the humanity.

He urged the world leadership to play their role against the oppressed people of Gaza who have been facing worst atrocities and bombardment from Israeli forces.

Worldwide voice have been raised against the aggression of Israeli forces in Gaza and people from all over the world are raising voice for rescue operations in Gaza to rescue the thousands of injured people in Gaza.

He said that the world leadership have to pressurise Israel for ceasefire in Gaza.

Hospitals in Gaza are being bombarded by Israeli forces, which is a great loss of Humanity adding that Church Hospital in Gaza have also been bombarded by Israeli forces.

Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said that at least 13000 people among 5000 children in Gaza have been martyred and people from all over the world have been calling for ceasefire in Gaza to start rescue operations.

United Nations have also stated that more than 300,000 people in Gaza have no access to food, water and medicines and in this entire scenario, the world leadership have to build pressure at Israel for ceasefire in Gaza, said Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi.

He said that untill and unless, Israel does not adopt peace process, we will keep raising voice.He said that innocent children, women, mosques and Hospitals are being targeted in Gaza.

The religious leaders also appealed to Muslim countries to play their fully role to build pressure on Israel to make ceasefire.

The religious leadership also stated that interfaith dialogue endeavours in Pakistan have intensified and also lauded the role of Chief of the Army Staff General Hafiz Asim Munir and Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar for respective instructions on Jaranwala incident as following the visits of Chief Justice of Pakistan and Prime Minister to Jaranwala, people got the hope of justice.
