ISLAMABAD, Jun 2: The Islamabad district administration has removed 222 cabins from residential areas in the City Sub-Division and 141 cabins in the Shalimar Sub-Division as part of an ongoing campaign against illegally placed cabins outside homes.
In the latest operation, authorities removed 5 cabins from F-6 and 8 from F-10, taking the total number of removed structures to 363 in the two subdivisions.
The Islamabad district administration has continued its crackdown on illegally placed cabins outside residential properties across the federal capital. Officials said the operation is being carried out to clear public spaces and ensure compliance with regulations regarding the use of residential areas.
During the latest action, enforcement teams removed five cabins from F-6 and eight cabins from F-10. The operation was conducted under the supervision of the district administration as part of a wider campaign targeting unauthorized structures placed outside homes.
According to official figures, a total of 222 cabins have so far been removed from residential areas in the City Sub-Division. In the Shalimar Sub-Division, authorities have removed 141 cabins during similar operations. The combined total of removed cabins in the two subdivisions now stands at 363.
Officials said the campaign is focused on reclaiming public spaces and addressing violations of municipal rules. The administration has been carrying out inspections in different sectors and taking action wherever unauthorized cabins are found outside residential properties.
Deputy Commissioner Islamabad has directed field teams to continue the operation without discrimination and ensure that action is taken uniformly across all sectors. The instructions emphasize the continuation of enforcement measures against encroachments and unauthorized structures regardless of location.
The district administration stated that monitoring and inspections will continue in the coming days. Residents have also been urged to avoid placing cabins and other structures outside their homes in violation of regulations.
Authorities said the campaign will remain in effect across the capital, with enforcement teams conducting regular checks and taking action wherever necessary. The administration maintains that the operation is aimed at ensuring the proper use of public spaces and maintaining order in residential neighborhoods.
