KABUL: The Deputy Minister of Culture and Art of the Ministry of Information and Culture Mawlavi Atiqullah Azizi, during his vist to the country’s western province of Herat, visited from the calligraphy association of the province, the ministry said in a statement Sunday y, Atiqullah Azizi During the visit, Mawlavi Azizi said that the Islamic Emirate supports the art of calligraphy in the country, which has survived from different periods of history, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, one of the calligraphers Abdul Jalil Tawana asked the Ministry of Information and Culture to support the art of calligraphy in the country, the statement added. While, listening to the problems and recommendations of the members of the association, Azizi assured that their challenges will be addressed.
