Fawad Chaudhary sent to jail on 14-day judicial remand

ISLAMABAD, NOV 08 (DNA) — A local court sent former federal minister Fawad Chaudhary to jail on a 14-day judicial remand on Wednesday. Talking to reporters before the hearing, Fawad Chaudahry asked PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif to play his role in reducing political temperature.

 “There is a need for dialogue among all the political parties in the country,” he added. He said that he had respiratory problem and he should be provided an access to doctor. “I should be allowed to meet my children,” he added.

Fawad Chaudhary has been accused of receiving Rs five million from a citizen in exchange for giving him a job. On August 22, 2022, the Aabpara police had registered a case against him under sections 109, 186, 188, 341 and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code. — DNA
