ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Uzbekistan Arif Usmanov has said relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan are growing at a fast speed adding these relations shall further be cemented even in the days to come.

He was speaking on the occasion of inauguration of  photo exhibition commemorating the 31st anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

Uzbek envoy Oybek Usmanov delivered an eloquent speech during the opening ceremony, expressing gratitude to all attendees and highlighting the historical significance of the diplomatic ties. He acknowledged the pivotal role of the protocol signed in Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan, on May 10, 1992, commemorating the establishment of diplomatic relations, showcasing a copy of the historical document at the exhibition.

During his address, the envoy extended heartfelt appreciation to Syed Jamal Shah, for his unwavering support and guidance in organising this remarkable event. He also commended Ayoub Jamali and his team for their indispensable contributions and excellent cooperation in arranging the exhibition.

Moreover, he warmly greeted two distinguished Pakistani ambassadors, Irfan Yusuf Shami and Riaz Ahmad Bukhari while also acknowledging their tireless efforts in promoting bilateral relations. On the other hand, Syed Jamal Shah, in his remarks, emphasized the exhibition’s role in portraying the beauty, diversity, and historical resonance embedded within the joint cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

Jamal Shah said that both Pakistan and Uzbekistan enjoy excellent relations. He hoped that these relations would grow further even in the days to come.
