OTTAWA, Feb 3: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Friday said his country was looking to impose sanctions on extremist’ Israeli settlers in connection with violence in the occupied West Bank.
“We are looking into how to make sure that those responsible for extremist violence or extreme settler violence in the [occupied] West Bank are held to account for it,” Al Jazeera reported quoting the Canadian prime minister.
He made the remarks while talking to journalists in Waterloo, Ontario.
