PTI to celebrate Pakistan Day with national spirit today

ISLAMABAD, MAR 22 /DNA/ – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Core Committee decided to celebrate Pakistan Day with national spirit and great fervor.

During the meeting, the forum gave approval to hold a function in the federal capital to mark Pakistan Day today (Saturday).

PTI Core Committee meeting held here on Friday, wherein several important decisions were taken.

They reiterated their demand of a comprehensive investigation into the worst elections rigging and daylight robbery of public mandate so as to give power to the really people elected representatives.

PTI Core Committee approved holding of a mammoth public gathering against the large scale elections rigging and the continued violation of the constitution in the country in Islamabad on March 30.

Moreover, the participants gave formal approval of organizing a huge public rally in Karachi on April 21 in this regard.

PTI Core Committee also gave consent of holding a special press conference on the country’s economic condition, the new IMF’s financial package and its subsequent impacts on the people of the country.

In the meeting, the participants were given detailed briefing pertaining to the court proceedings of the cases against PTI Founding Chairman Imran Khan so far and the possibility of his acquittal.

The forum declared the acquittal of the PTI Founding Chairman in several cases as a breath of fresh air and urged the judiciary to take early decisions on the appeals against Imran Khan’s sentences and decide his cases on merit sans any further delay.

PTI Core Committee also endorsed holding of a meeting of PTI Punjab Assembly members at the residence of senior central leader Sardar Latif Khan Khosa regarding preparation for Senate elections today (Saturday).

Besides, the forum also reviewed the contents of the statement made by US Assistant Secretary of State Donald Lu before the US Congressional Committee in detail.

The forum viewed Pakistan’s former ambassador to the US Asad Majid’s response to Donald Lu’s testimony before Congressional committee important to determine the facts in this regard.

PTI Core Committee declared that the PTI Central Information Secretary was the sole authority to publicize and publish the decisions of the committee.
