Islamabad (DNA) Ajmal Baloch President All Pakistan Anjman Tajran and Traders Action Committee Islamabad, Khalid Choudhry Secretary and Convener Traders Committee ICCI has said that Various markets of Islamabad have no development for a long time due to which they are turning into ruins.
CDA does not have the authority to impose parking fees in markets. CDA should construct a multi-storey parking lot and hand over the constructed parking lot at Jinnah Supermarket to the Trade Union. Parking will not be allowed in any market.
They has asked the Chairman CDA Capt.(R) Anwar ul Haq to work on development projects which is the need of the hour. CDA and MCI are two separate departments. MCI has the powers of local government. It is not the job of CDA to levy new tax or to increase it.
Orders should be issued to carry out development work in different markets of Islamabad and legal requirements should be fulfilled before imposing or increasing any tax in the future. There is no shortage of funds because all kinds of taxes and fees have been increased hundreds of times.
