ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Adbul Qayyum Niazi demanded that the Prime Minister AJK should resign instantly and fresh elections should be announced forthwith so as new public mandate government took the powers to take prompt decisions to rein in the fast worsening situation in the region, as 40,000 people were on the roads at present protesting for accepting their legitimate demands.

Addressing a press conference along with PTI Central Information Secretary Raoof Hasan and senior PTI leader Hamid Pothi, he said that the puppet regime was imposed through regime change conspiracy did not work, rather it compounded the public miseries manifolds during the past one years.

PTI senior leader said that AJK Prime Minister was a dummy and puppet premier, who was imposed on the people of Kashmir by ousting well-performing PTI government in the region.

Abdul Qayyum stated that the people of the region now remembered PTI government which always prioritized providing relief to the masses, as people were provided subsidized flour during Ramadan.

Former AJK PM said the new imposed model in AJK did not work because it lacked public support; therefore we needed a strong and public mandated government.

He said that only Imran Khan could put the country out of the prevailing myriad challenges and could fight the case of Palestine and Kashmir affectively and emphatically at all fora globally; hence he should be released instantly. Qayyum Niazi lamented that the negative impacts of the regime change conspiracy were cropping up after a year, which was evident from the massive public protests across the region against the puppet regime’s anti-poor policies.

Former AJK PM continued that the protest movement for the public legitimate rights was started around nine months ago, who demanded relief in electricity bills, powers and funds for local body elected representatives and subsidized flour but the dummy government seized the powers through regime change paid no heed on their genuine demands, resultantly the movement spread all over the region at present.

He said that PTI was a public representatives’ government, which took care of the public needs, adding that PTI government conducted LG elections in AJK to transfer powers to grassroots level, which was the essence of true democracy, adding that the country was operating through constitution while the party was running through principled and manifestos.

Former AJK PM said that the demands of the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) were legitimate, all their demands were accepted but later denied due to which situation arising out, adding that the reports that FC and police were summoned further fanned the fire, adding that people of Kashmir were disappointed and the center should take notice of the situation and address the JAC’s demands to control the situation before it further escalated.

However, Qayyum expressed shock over the confusing reports that army and rangers were sending but later it was said that the decision was withdrew due to Asif Zardari’s intervention, adding that it seemed a drama being staged in Kashmir and situation was heading towards another crisis-like situation. He made it clear that PTI fully supported the protestors’ demands.

He condoled the deaths of protestors and expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and added that the government was responsible for bringing police and people face to face.

Qayyum Niazi said that internet services were suspended and no seriousness was shown from Pakistan being a bigger brother, which unfortunately seemingly wanted to create a new issue in Kashmir like Narendra Modi did in the occupied valley.

Former AJK PM said that the death of the martyred policeman in Kashmir should be investigated and report should be made public. However, he said that the civilian pushed into the river which was unfortunate because people demands were genuine.

He demanded that the sole solution to the prevailing crises in the AJK was a new elections; hence the incumbent puppet PM should resign and fresh polls should be announced without any delay because the forcibly created model after the regime change failed to deliver.
