RCCI organizes 6th Pak-U.S. Business & Investment Opportunities Conference in Chicago

RAWALPINDI, AUG 2 /DNA/ – The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) organized the 6th Pak-U.S. Business & Investment Opportunities Conference, in Chicago, USA. The event, jointly organized by the RCCI and Consulate General of Pakistan, was attended by a large number of people from diverse sectors, including members of the Pakistani American business community. 

RCCI president Saqib Rafiq, along with Consul General Tariq Karim, welcomed the guests.

Former President RCCI and Chairman ISE REIT Zahid Latif Khan, EC Member Abdul Rauf, Chairman Regional Trade, Khurshid Barlas, Fahad Barlas, and distinguished RCCI members were also present on the occasion. 

The event featured an interactive panel discussion, a Q&A session, and concluded with productive business-to-business meetings.

President RCCI Saqib Rafiq in his address said that the purpose of the conference was to promote a range of Pakistani products in American markets. The United States is an important trading partner and the BOC will provide an opportunity to exchange the views and identify the challenges in bilateral trade ties between the two business communities. He further informed about the facilities being provided to foreign investors and overseas Pakistanis under the umbrella of SIFC aiming to enhance cooperation with key organizations in both countries to ensure cohesive and coordinated strategies in promoting U.S. private sector interests in Pakistan.

Consul General Tariq Karim, while appreciating  the RCCI role for organizing BOC stated that the participation of a large business delegation from Pakistan reflected a strong commitment to enhancing Pak-U.S. partnership and exploring new avenues for investment and collaboration. He highlighted Pakistan’s key advantages such as its geographic location, demographic dividend, market size, rich human and natural resources, growing tech ecosystem, and investor-friendly policies that make it an attractive business and investment destination.

He shared his key priorities and initiatives, noting the growing partnership with the Midwest region in trade, investment, and people-to-people contacts, highlighting the growth in Pakistani exports and investments in sectors like IT, Pink Rock Salt, healthcare, energy, and agriculture from the Midwest region.
