Islamabad: On the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, a delegation led by Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman of Jamaat-e-Islami met with him in Islamabad for detailed discussions.

The delegation also included Jamaat-e-Islami’s Secretary General Amir ul Azeem and Director of Foreign Affairs Asif Luqman Qazi.

During the meeting, both sides agreed that the leadership of Islamic countries must take immediate action to stop Israeli aggression in Gaza and Lebanon.

It was also agreed to hold a global protest against Israeli aggression on October 7, marking the completion of one year of resistance.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman praised the efforts of the Malaysian government, led by Anwar Ibrahim, in providing care for injured Palestinians.

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim invited Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman to visit Malaysia, to which the Jamaat-e-Islami leader expressed gratitude and requested special measures to address the issues faced by Pakistanis living in Malaysia.

Anwar Ibrahim recalled his fond memories of visiting Pakistan during his student days and his meetings with the Islamic student organization Islami Jamiat Talaba and Syed Abul A’la Maududi. The meeting took place in a friendly and informal atmosphere.
