Iran to cut business visa fees, boost trade ties with Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Iran have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), setting new bilateral trade targets and to remove the hurdles in the process. Iran also assured Pakistan of reducing business visa fees and facilitating trade activities.
The MoU was signed during a high-level meeting between the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Iran’s Mashhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the meeting, both sides set a target to increase bilateral trade to $10 billion and signed an MoU to facilitate economic cooperation. The agreement aims to enhance trade, investment, and business collaboration between the two neighboring countries.
The bilateral trade between Iran and Pakistan also witnessed an increase during the last fiscal year, reaching $2.8 billion.
