ISLAMABAD, October 12 — Heavy clashes erupted along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border after Afghan Taliban forces launched unprovoked aggression against Pakistani positions, security sources confirmed on Saturday. The Pakistan Army responded swiftly and forcefully, inflicting heavy losses on the attacking forces.
According to security officials, Pakistan’s retaliatory strikes completely destroyed Manojaba Camp 3, a key Afghan Taliban post reportedly used as a base for cross-border attacks. “The Pakistan Army has given a fitting and decisive response to the unprovoked aggression by Taliban forces. Manojaba Camp 3 has been completely wiped out,” the sources said.
Video footage circulating on social media and confirmed by security sources shows the complete destruction of the Afghan Taliban’s Manojaba Camp 3 following Pakistan’s precise counter-strikes. The footage depicts heavy explosions and fire, indicating a significant hit to the Taliban’s infrastructure in the area.
Security sources further revealed that the attack resulted in substantial losses to the Afghan Taliban and foreign militants who were reportedly hiding within the camp. “The retaliatory action was targeted, proportionate, and aimed at neutralizing threats emanating from across the border,” a senior security official noted.
The latest exchange marks a sharp escalation in tensions along the western frontier, where Pakistan has repeatedly voiced concerns about terrorist elements operating from Afghan soil. Islamabad has accused the Taliban-led administration of failing to curb cross-border attacks by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which continues to target Pakistani security forces and civilians.
While the Afghan Taliban have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, Pakistan’s security establishment has reaffirmed its resolve to safeguard every inch of national territory. “Pakistan will not tolerate any aggression against its sovereignty. The armed forces remain fully capable and ready to respond to any threat,” the sources added.
Tensions between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban have been mounting over the past several months, with multiple reports of border skirmishes and militant infiltration attempts. Analysts warn that continued hostilities could destabilize the already fragile regional security environment, emphasizing the need for restraint and renewed diplomatic engagement.
Security officials, however, stress that Pakistan’s recent response was purely defensive and aimed at ensuring peace and stability along the border. “Our actions are guided by national security imperatives and the protection of our people,” they stated.
