Cultural Evening Held in Honour of Outstanding Pakistani Students

ANKARA: OCT 21 (DNA): The Embassy of Pakistan in Türkiye organized a vibrant cultural evening in honour of a distinguished delegation of Pakistani students currently visiting Türkiye under a special initiative of the Prime Minister of Pakistan. The visit aims to encourage talented students and promote educational and cultural exchange between the two brotherly countries.

The event was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Dr. Yousaf Junaid, Director General of Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education Mr. Eyüp Tanıyaldı, along with senior officials and esteemed guests.

Students from the Pakistan Embassy International Study Group (PEISG) presented a colorful cultural program highlighting the shared heritage, traditions, and values of Pakistan and Türkiye.

In his address, Ambassador Dr. Yousaf Junaid stated that this student visit reflects the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, which focuses on investing in youth and strengthening educational and cultural cooperation with Türkiye. He congratulated the students on their exceptional achievements and urged them to act as young ambassadors of Pakistan.

The Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Turkish Ministry of Education for their support and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Türkiye in student exchange programs, teacher training, and curriculum development.

In his welcome remarks, Mr. Eyüp Tanıyaldı stated that such visits provide students from both countries the opportunity to understand each other’s cultures and build lasting friendships. He reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to further expand cooperation with Pakistan in education and research sectors.

At the end of the ceremony, Ambassador Junaid referred to the deep-rooted Pakistan-Türkiye relationship as “One Nation, Two States” and extended his best wishes for the students’ bright futures.

Out of the 149-member student delegation, the first group of 70 students is currently in Türkiye. Earlier, the students spent three days in Istanbul, where they visited historical landmarks and renowned universities, gaining firsthand experience of Türkiye’s rich educational and cultural landscape.
