ISLAMABAD, NOV 2: Pakistan has emphasised the need to focus on the rehabilitation of Palestinians and the reconstruction of Gaza.
According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, a key meeting will take place in Turkiye tomorrow to discuss a lasting peace in Gaza. Eight countries, including Pakistan, will take part. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is scheduled to travel to Istanbul tomorrow.
Pakistan has urged the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza and the provision of uninterrupted humanitarian aid.
The FO spokesperson said that the meeting will consider the deployment of a stability force in Gaza and the next phase of the ceasefire. Pakistan will emphasise the full implementation of the ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the occupied Palestinian territories, and the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Gaza.
Pakistan will continue to support the Palestinian people in their right to self-determination, peace, and justice. It advocates the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital and borders based on those of 1967. The spokesperson said that a free, viable, and geographically stable Palestinian state remains the guarantee of lasting peace.
