ISLAMABAD, Jan 11 (APP/DNA): Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Sunday slammed PTI for prioritizing personal power over the welfare of the country, accusing the party of ignoring citizens’ needs and leaving Khyber Pakhtunkhwa residents’ lives, property and dignity unprotected under the provincial government.
While speaking to a local news channel, the federal minister accused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government of failing to protect the public and facilitating terrorists in the province. He said the people of KPK are left vulnerable, with their lives, property and dignity unprotected, which is the fundamental responsibility of the provincial government.
Hanif Abbasi further criticized the Chief Minister of KPK, saying that instead of focusing on public welfare and development, he is frequently visiting other provinces for political matters and attending to his party leadership’s
interests.
He stressed that such negligence was costing the citizens their safety and trust in the government.
The minister warned that citizens cannot bear the continued neglect, emphasizing that the provincial administration must prioritize the protection, security, education, health and well-being of the people over political agendas.
He urged immediate action to restore law and order and ensure accountability at all levels.
Answering a question, he remarked, “There is no one in PTI to negotiate with. Those claiming to be leaders are not serious and many are not even genuine members of the party.”
To another query, he expressed support for planting more trees in Islamabad, saying that the number of trees planted so far is insufficient and that large-scale tree-planting drives should be carried out across the city.
