Virat Kohli reclaims top batter spot in ODIs after four years

The ICC has released its latest player rankings, with India’s Virat Kohli reclaiming the top spot among batters in the One Day Internationals after four years.

Kohli surpassed fellow countryman Rohit Sharma, achieving the honour of being number one for the eleventh time in his career. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell moved up to second place.

In the T20 rankings, Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan climbed one position to reach fifth place. Salman Agha made a remarkable jump of 13 spots, landing at 41st. Among bowlers, Salman Mirza rose 16 places to reach the 19th position.

In the ICC Test rankings, England’s Joe Root maintained the top spot, followed by Travis Head at third and Steve Smith in fourth place.
