ISLAMABAD, Jan 16 (APP/DNA):The sale of motorbikes and three-wheelers in the country has witnessed an increase of 32.32 per cent during the first half of the current fiscal year (2025-26) as compared to sales of the corresponding half of the last year.
During the half under review, as many as 921,566 motorbikes and three-wheelers were sold against the sale of 696,455 units in July-December (2024-25), according to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
The sale of Honda motorcycles surged by 34.21 per cent from 587,669 units to 788,742 units, whereas the sale of Suzuki motorcycles also rose by 48.86 per cent from 11,562 units to 17,212 units during the period under review.
The sales of United Auto motorcycles witnessed an increase of 25.41 per cent from 68,103 units to 85,410 units, while the sales of Road Prince motorbikes also surged to 11,641 units from 10,255 units.
The sale of Yamaha motorbikes came down to 1,333 units from 2,670 units, witnessing a decrease of 50.07 per cent.
Meanwhile, the sale of United Auto three-wheelers increased from 449 units to 744 units, while the sale of Qingqi three-wheelers also increased by 6.03 percent from 5,123 units to 5,432 units.
The sale of Sazgar three-wheelers increased by 6.12 per cent from 9,812 units to 10,413 units, whereas the sale of Road Prince also decreased to 611 units from 808 units, the data revealed.
