Pakistan High Commission Facilitates Surgical Goods Exports to Kenya

ISLAMABAD, JAN 22 /DNA/: The High Commission of Pakistan in Kenya continues its proactive efforts to promote Pakistani exports and strengthen bilateral trade relations. H.E. Mr. Ibrar Hussain Khan, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Kenya, along with Commercial Counsellor Ms. Adeela Younis, recently hosted Mr. Moazzam Shaikh, Export Manager, and Mr. Salman Shahid, Owner of Cotton Craft (Pvt) Ltd, during their official business visit to Kenya.

Cotton Craft (Pvt) Ltd is a well-established Pakistani manufacturing and exporting company specializing in surgical dressing goods. The company’s representatives are visiting Kenya to explore commercial opportunities and participate in supply tenders with major institutions, including the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA), Aga Khan Hospital, and several other private healthcare companies.

As part of the visit, the Commercial Section of the High Commission arranged a series of meaningful business-to-business (B2B) meetings with potential buyers, distributors, and healthcare sector stakeholders. These interactions were designed to facilitate potential export agreements and introduce high-quality Pakistani surgical dressing products to the Kenyan market.

Speaking on the occasion, the High Commissioner highlighted Pakistan’s strong manufacturing base in the medical and surgical sector, emphasizing that Pakistani products meet international quality standards while remaining competitively priced. He reaffirmed the High Commission’s commitment to supporting Pakistani exporters through trade facilitation, market intelligence, and institutional connectivity in Kenya.

The visiting business delegation expressed appreciation for the support provided by the High Commission and shared optimism about securing long-term business partnerships in Kenya. They noted the growing demand for reliable and affordable medical supplies in the Kenyan healthcare sector.

This engagement reflects Pakistan’s broader economic diplomacy efforts to diversify export destinations, enhance trade with African markets, and strengthen commercial ties in priority sectors such as healthcare and medical supplies.
