ISLAMABAD, Apr 2 An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Thursday recorded statements of 2 more witnesses in the May 9 protest case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) workers, taking the total number of recorded witnesses to 18.
The Anti-Terrorism Court, presided over by Judge Tahir Abbas Sipra, heard the case. During the hearing, the prosecution presented two additional witnesses, whose statements were recorded by the court.
With these testimonies, the total number of witnesses recorded in the case has reached 18. The court directed the prosecution to produce more witnesses at the next hearing to continue the trial process.
The court also directed defence lawyers to prepare for the cross-examination of the witnesses in the upcoming proceedings.
After completing the day’s proceedings, the court adjourned the hearing until April 8. The next hearing will focus on recording more witness statements and continuing cross-examination.
The case relates to the protests held on May 9 and has been registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers under terrorism charges at Shams Colony Police Station in Islamabad.
